Hi, I’m Naomi (she/her).

I do accounting for small businesses, individuals, and corporations…

but that’s just the beginning.

I am not a typical accountant. I work with your information systems—from shoe boxes of receipts to personal spreadsheets to sophisticated online platforms—to meet you where you’re at in every way. I will not create more homework for you to get your taxes done, nor ask you use a accounting system that doesn’t make it easier for you to run your business.

I don’t charge for time, which means your accounting bill is clear and simple. Phone calls are free and encouraged.

I also believe in shifting the focus of business away from profit and growth to people and planet-centred models of success, sustainable in every sense of the word.

Putting Accountability into Accounting

I believe that we all deserve to spend our time and our lives on the things we value, and that’s what I will help you to do.

I came to accounting because, for better or worse, money runs the world.  And while it may be the fuel needed to power our vehicles, money is not the destination or the journey.  Accounting at its best informs our decisions so that we may direct our actions in accordance with our values.

Local small businesses are the foundation of a small community.  So many of my clients blow me away with their talent, their relentless work ethic, their incredible resilience.  And yet, the accounting, the money, and the taxes can cause quite a lot of stress.  I love nothing more than to help shoulder that stress on so my clients can do what makes their hearts sing.

ALL of my clients, big and small, matter to me.  They make up the community that my children will grow up in.  They will create the future for our community. When the bookkeeping and taxes are looked after by someone you trust, accounting can then unlock opportunities for forward thinking about our lives and how we live them. Whether that’s a simple discussion about pricing or business model,  or something more complex like creating a plan to get a business to net zero, I can help you share your vision of making the world a better place.
